Alien: Isolation is one of the most beloved games based on the Alien franchise, and fans have been clamoring for a sequel for years. So when a semi-sequel spinoff was announced exclusively for mobile devices, it… didn’t go over so well. However, if you look at what Alien: Blackout is rather than what it isn’t, it’s a tremendously atmospheric extension of the Amanda Ripley timeline and a super enjoyable piece of fan service.
