Another 2018 study on online education conducted by Learning House and Aslanian Market Research confirms the hype about online degree is very real – at least in the USA. According to the study, 86% of online learners considered the value of their degree equal to or greater than the cost they paid to pursue it. Among those who have attended on-campus and online courses, 85% said that online learning is as good as or better than attending courses on campus. In fact, two-thirds of online college students reported that they’d achieved the original goal that motivated them to enrol in their program. Graduate students were more likely than undergraduates to feel that way (76 percent vs. 62 percent).

Unfortunately, in a situation such as this, a student can lose faith in teachers. When it comes time to work on processes they don’t understand, kids can shy away from adults, afraid of being ridiculed or of triggering a lecture. Face-to-face tutoring can suffer because of it, but an online tutor doesn’t seem as familiar. The anonymity of the Internet may provide your child with the buffer needed to risk re-engagement. “It is so much more convenient than having a set time for appointments with private tutors which, when you have 4 children, there are often no ‘time slots’ available for any extra commitments.”

Web-based programs geared at primary school students (K-8) typically incorporate a high level of multimedia and interactive activities designed to stimulate learners as they complete their coursework. Many of these programs are targeted at special needs learners, and focus on subjects where children tend to struggle the most, such as the core competencies of reading, writing, and math. A number of these fundamental online tutoring sessions are offered in languages other than English (often in Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese) to help immigrant families.

Financial Aid: A variety of scholarships and loan options are available to help pay for seminary. Revenues for seminary operations come primarily from outside contributions. Student tuition and fees cover only a small percentage of the total educational expenses. Loans: WBS offers federal direct unsubsidized student loans. This is a loan borrowed by the student. Interest begins to accrue on the loan at the time it is disbursed. Students may make payments on the interest while enrolled or allow it to be capitalized until repayment. Repayment begins once a student drops below half-time status, withdraws, or graduates for a period of six months.

Real-time: Using live video technology, students are brought together in a virtual classroom setting at specific class times for lectures and class interactions. Students can participate in any on-campus course via real-time video. Students will be able to watch the professor’s lectures as well as see the other students who are online and in the physical classroom. Online students have the same opportunity to ask questions and engage with the professor as the on-campus students do. Discover extra details at https://wbs.edu/.
