Imelda loved a good laugh, a good cup of coffee, and a good glass of scotch. It was much too soon for her to be taken from our lives, but she will continue to live on in our hearts. Imelda is survived by her daughter Bernadette DeBlasio, son-in-law Dennis DeBlasio, grandson Devon DeBlasio, daughter-in-law Jill DeBlasio, as well as all the close relatives, friends, and loved ones she cared for, inspired, and delighted. From 2000, Phipps guided an Idaho track and field/cross country program that was highly successful at the conference level producing seven individual cross country champions, 52 indoor track and field champions, and 117 outdoor champions. During this time Idaho athletes set 30 indoor school records, 23 outdoor records, and at least one school record has fallen every year during Phipps’ tenure.

He was twice selected all-region and honorable mention All-Lowcountry, and was named the team’s most valuable offensive back his junior and senior seasons. Gene was also a force on the baseball diamond, leading the team in batting in both of his years on the varsity team. He compiled a career batting average of .426 with 11 home runs, 54 RBIs, and 19 extra-base hits, earning him all-region, All-State, and “Slugger’s Award” honors as a junior and senior. Additionally, Gene was a two-year letterman on the varsity basketball team and winner of the “Coaches’ Cup” award in 2003 as a member of PG’s first-ever state championship team. Upon graduation, Gene played four seasons of varsity football at Presbyterian College, and was a member of the South Atlantic Conference championship team that finished in the top ten nationally. He was selected three times to the academic all-conference team, graduating cum laude in 2007 with a bachelor of science in business administration.

Mr. Pool’s wife, Jo Ann Burger Pool predeceased him in 1997 after 34 years of marriage. Claire Pollitzer, age 83, of Great Meadows, NJ died Friday, October 31, 2014 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center of Hackettstown, N.J.. Claire was born October 17, 1931 in France. She is survived by; 2 sons, Anthony Puccetti and his wife Denise of Bartonsville, PA, Michael Puccetti and his wife Laura of Hackettstown, NJ, 5 grandchildren; Daniel Bean, Jaclyn, Douglas, Steven and Joseph Puccetti. 2 great grandchildren; Anthony and Brooklyn Bean, a brother; Paul Senecal and his wife Bess, a sister; Nancy Zibriski, along with many nieces and nephews. Marjorie Puccetti, age 76 of Hackettstown formerly of Whiting, NJ died Friday, April 22, 2016.

A Wisconsin native who now calls Jericho, Vermont home, Deedra Irwin is the lone woman making her Olympic debut for the U.S. biathlon squad. Irwin competed in the 2021 World Championships, where she placed 13th in relay. Caroline Harvey, 19, a Salem, New Hampshire native, won a silver medal as a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team in 2021, playing in the International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championship. Calling Greenwich, Connecticut home is 23-year-old Strauss Mann, a current goalie for the SkellefteÃ¥ AIK of the Swedish Hockey League.

She went on to play four years of Division III Soccer at Bates College. Colleen was two time All American in her junior and senior years. She returned east to play for the Boston Renegades, a womens league team, for two summers. Colleen has been in Vermont at the middle school level and for Far Post for the last 14 years. For those of us accustomed to watching 200-pound tailbacks on hi-definition screens, it may be tough to imagine a four-year lineman for a major college football team who weighs 190 pounds.

Estell, age 96, of Box 46, Tranquility, NJ died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Forest Manor Health Care Ctr.

According to TSTCA officials, the race order has been adjusted for Thursday’s event, with the AAA boys’ and girls’ races scheduled first followed by the lone junior varsity race of the afternoon. After the presentation of the AAA awards, the combined A-AA boys’ and girls’ races will take the course. Officials said the change in race order was made to avoid conflicts for some A-AA teams with PSAT testing. Kylie received the Top Female Student Athlete Award for CVU in 2010. Anthony loved sports and watching the New York Giants and Mets. During football season he never missed watching a game on Sunday with his dad. As a true Italian he loved to eat and secretly was a great cook. He enjoyed working on his truck, teasing and joking with his family, and taking care of his Pugs. In Anthony’s short life he left such an everlasting imprint on all of our lives and will never be forgotten. While at Porter-Gaud, Todd Thompson lettered 4 years in golf, and a year each in basketball and football.

A rarity in our time, her connective understanding of the towns residents allowed her to appreciate and resonate with parents and students as friends and neighbors, because they were. Christine A. Five years ago I attended an event and ended up talking to a staff person from Mom2Mom. I wanted to better understand the issues that women are facing in Vancouver and to be on the ground as part of the solution. So I went to an introduction meeting and signed up to volunteer. With schools closed and hot meal programs not available, we noticed right away that women in the Mom2Mom community needed extra help feeding their families, and this community stepped up like never before. A lifelong resident of the greater Hackettstown, NJ area, Tom was a graduate of Hackettstown High School and Wagner College. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hiking as well as traveling to destinations around the world. Tom was a self employed Real Estate Investor with properties in both Warren and Morris Counties.

She then devoted herself to homemaking until 1975 when she received her real estate license. She was employed by several agencies with Thomas Brackin Real Estate in Mountain Lakes, NJ being her favorite. Doris enjoyed drawing, sewing, candle making, and writing poetry. She is survived by her devoted son, Claude Eroh, III and wife Kathleen, her loving sister, Suzanne Garrity and life partner Scott Albertson.

She was named P-G Track MVP four consecutive years, and was recognized as the State’s Outstanding Individual Track Performer running a 4 minute, 26 second 1600 meters, and with teammates broke the 4 X 400 meter relay record by 4 seconds. She scored 200 points in track her senior year and was named MVP at the State Meet. For both her sophomore and senior years she was the State’s top point achiever in girls track. In volleyball Jennifer’s play earned her top awards and wide recognition. She won the coveted Bess Rosen Award given to the most outstanding volleyball player.

Speaking of breakthroughs, Pine-Richland’s Natalie McLean, who took 11th at districts, was 38th at states, and she’ll look for another big stretch run of her season this year. Her teammate Meredith Price — 12th at districts — should be close by. The race for the Metro Classic Conference boys basketball Delta 8 THC title this season is as tight as it gets. On Tuesday night after a win over Sergeant Bluff-Luton at home, Ras Vanderloo was near speechless. Roger E. Eroh, age 49, of Hackettstown died Saturday December 24, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem. Roger was born June 3, 1967 at Dover General Hospital in Dover, New Jersey. He is the son of the late Herbert Eroh Sr. and Norma Kishbaugh Eroh. Roger was a tireless worker over the years, many times holding down two or three jobs at once. His final job was working in the catering department at Shop Rite in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Evelyn is predeceased by her husband, Arthur, and siblings Dorothy Robinson, Charlotte Hoffman, Robert Robinson and Helen Robinson. Grady “Marvin” Thomas, 76, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away at Morristown Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Henrietta, Texas on March 15, 1942, Marvin was the son of the late Grady V. & Anna Lee Cooper Thomas. Marvin has lived in Hackettstown, NJ with his loving family since 1973 having moved from Lebanon Twp., NJ. Thomas E Tell, age 80, of Hackettstown died Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Karen Ann Quinlan home for hospice of Newton, NJ. Thomas was born January 3, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late Edward and the late Dorothy Alice Tell.

James was born July 23, 1944 in Jersey City, NJ. He is the son of the late James and the late Lucy Evey. Donald is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Young Elston, daughter of Shirley and the late Dale Young of Hackettstown. Edward J. Elston and fiance Michele Ruggiero of Harmony Twp., N.J.. One brother, Gilbert Elston and wife Sheri of Williamsburg, Va..

After interrupting his formal education as an aviator in WWII flying in Burma with the “Burma Bridge Busters”, William entered Presbyterian College where he led the nationally ranked Blue Hose Tennis Team to the State Championship. Along the way William received a commission into the U.S Air Force and attended the California Institute of Technology where he played #1 on the tennis team and received an MS degree. His 26-year military record includes service and decorations as a navigator and unit commander in World War II, Korea, and Viet Nam.

A native of Cashion, Okla., Cochran is a 2013 graduate of Valdosta State. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Native American Studies. Cochran’s wife, the former Samantha Posey, was a national champion softball player during her career at Valdosta State. Cochran will coach the tight ends for the Golden Eagles, while Lindsey – who returns for his second stint at Southern Miss – will have the role of wide receivers coach/pass game coordinator.

Pioneer Junior Scott McDonough leads the Pioneer boys’ team, which has solid numbers this season under head coach Jim Bell and assistant coach Gina Johnson, and the Panthers hope to make some noise in the Valley South as a result. The good news is that the junior class has plenty of experience, with Anna Wetherbee, Emma Currier and Marie Nottleson all back. Currier was solid in the mile and 1,000 meters a year ago, while Wetherbee was her team’s top 600-meter runner. Nottleson (hurdles/jumps) is another capable multi-event scorer.

The high school basketball season has about a month and a half left before the state tournament, and the girls are already two games into district play. High school boys District 3-5A basketball tipped off CBD Pain Cream district play on Friday, while the 5A girls played their third district game of the season. Charles E Kenney, age 83, of Belvidere, formerly of Hackettstown, NJ died Saturday, March 21, 2015 at home.

Of Hope, NJ. Mr. Estell was born January 16, 1916 in Orange, NJ. He is the son of the late Joseph and the late Louise Estell. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife; Eunice nee-Turton, 2 brothers; Lindon “Bill” And Stanley Estell and one sister; Hazel. Lowell is also survived by three brothers, Eddie, Jerry and Charles Earwood and three sisters, Wilma Burdette, Shirley Reynolds and Linda Roberts plus numerous nieces and nephews.

He served as an assistant coach on the Cyclone Varsity Football team and spent ten years helping to organize and implement a Saturday morning basketball program for fourth, fifth, and sixth graders at Porter-Gaud. He coached basketball at bantam level with sixth and seventh graders for three years. In addition to serving his alma mater as a coach, Winn remains active with the Porter-Gaud Alumni Association. Khris Middleton’s basketball career has been all about exceeding expectations.

Anthony was the most loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. Anthony protected his sisters so strongly and would never let anything happen to them. They have never felt safer or more loved by anyone else in their entire life. When it came to someone he loved, everyone knew better than to mess with “Big Ant.” He always protected and cared for those he loved, making sure he always put others before himself.
